Hi there! We are Timo (29) and Isa (28). We're two Dutchies who have dreamed of travelling the world together ever since we met in 2015. We are currently combining our jobs with our travel passion, making maximum use of our vacation days.
We have big ideas for the future. From building a community of 'thorough' travellers to creating a non-profit organisation that focuses on investments in sustainable tourism projects.

ABOUT US
The name Counting Borders stands for our desire to travel thoroughly, therefore often taking the long way and crossing borders instead of hopping around by plane. This allows one to more deeply experience cultures and landscapes and the gradual change in those while moving further.
Counting Borders also stands for our goal to visit the entire world. So far we have seen 24 official UN countries. However, we prefer to use the Travelers’ Century Club’s list, as this includes autonomous regions as well. These areas are often very different from the country they are officially part of and, in our view, therefore deserve an independent visit. So far, we've seen 29 TCC regions out of 330.
