Hi there! We are Timo and Isa. We're two Dutchies in our mid-twenties, who have dreamed of travelling the world together ever since we met in 2015. While working, we tried to travel as much and thoroughly as we could.
After years of doing so, we were done with working for 11 months every year, for just one month of true happiness. Therefore, we are now taking the big leap, finding ways to travel full-time from now on. Stay tuned for many more travel guides for (soon) all parts of the world. The name Counting Borders stands for our desire to travel thoroughly, therefore often taking the long way and crossing borders instead of hopping around by plane. This allows one to more deeply experience cultures and landscapes and the gradual change in those while moving further.
Counting Borders also stands for our goal to visit the entire world. So far we have seen 23 official UN countries. However, we prefer to use the Travelers’ Century Club’s list, as this includes autonomous regions as well. So far, we've seen 28 TCC regions out of 330.
